Winged creatures

I don't usually see more than one Tui at a time, so these three that were having a loud discussion were a treat.

This dock obviously doesn't get much use.

One pair of black swans was preparing to run off the other pair. It was quite a sight.

For a girl in Texas everything except the sea gulls are exotic.
the swabs are territorial aren't they.

Three Tuis! And such a pretty photo framed by the ponga leaves.

We lived for a year in NZ, and one of my favourite memories is of hearing (and seeing) a Tui singing by the gates of the kindy my son went to.
