A few New Plymouth sights

These photos are a slice of New Plymouth, the largest city in Taranaki.

The murals are seen on the underpass walkway to the coastline.

One of the clever warnings on the electrical boxes.

A petrel among the gulls on a roof.

Hubby loves feeding his eely buddies.

While he was feeding the eels, a little girl pointed out the baby birds in a hole in the wall.

They possible belong to these pigeons.

The walkway follows the Huatoki River to the sea. If you look closely, you can see
a white dot on a rock in the middle of the photo.

This is the dot! A crab hiding in a hole in the rock.

This was one of the awesome formations at Back Beach.

I really like this shot that I took through one of the openings.

Sadly, it wasn't long after the above photos that a storm destroyed them.

Love the look of the murals. Good finds. Feeding eels I will leave to him. That crab can not hide from your lens.

Thanks for the fun photos. I don't recall ever seeing a baby pigeon before.

What a fascinating part of the world. So many natural things to see. I especially liked seeing the wildlife - birds and crab - and the rock formations. Gorgeous!

I like the murals - pretty cool, and the photo through the arch. It's a shame they fell.

Wonderful pics. The mural is impressive, the eels I never knew you could hand feed them but I wouldn't want to do that, so your husband can continue with that chore.:) At first I thought that crab was a frog. He looks like he found himself a nice little hole to sit in and have his picture taken.
Thanks for the tour, it was lovely.

I always enjoy seeing the world through your eyes (thru your photos) and this week is no exception. From the great wall art to the formations on the beach, another great trip thru photos.
